Requirements

  • 3-5 five years of experience set up and operating 3 & 4 Axis CNC Turning Machines
  • Extensive knowledge of part drawings, GD&T, and associated shop math
  • Experience with Fanuc controls using G & M programming code
  • Strong knowledge of material types and characteristics related to machining techniques
  • Proficiently measure exacting tolerances on a consistent basis with shop tools, gages, equip.
  • Experience working within ISO-9001 and AS-9100 quality machining environments
  • High School or GED diploma, CNC Degree, Journeyman Machinist

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate or program CMM’s would be a plus for any candidate

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve job related information: routing, drawing, program, inspection sheets, etc.
  • Review raw material for dimensions, quantity, defects, maintain heat lot traceability
  • Perform all change-over related activities through first piece inspection, edits-offsets
  • Utilize precision tools and gages to measure part features / dimensions and document results according to in-process quality inspection requirements and AQL sampling intervals.
  • Detect and troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they occur
  • Operate secondary equipment to finish and clean parts for subsequent operations
  • Maintain high level of awareness and attention to detail to achieve quality and production results
  • Utilize PC or Laptop to record labor and production information
  • Train other operators as needed on job related items
  • Follows prescribed safety rules and procedures for all work
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work area in a clean orderly condition.
  • Provide end-of-shift report activities
