About The Position

Flex is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Grinder) for its Buffalo Grove, IL location. This role operates various conventional machine shop equipment, including grinders and Okamoto water grinders, to produce small parts within specified tolerances. The position involves performing machine set-ups, adjusting speeds and feeds, and checking machined parts for conformance. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machines, grinding small details, and manual machining. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training.
2+ years experience in CNC is required
Grinding experience with small details
Accuracy and attention to details is critically important

Nice To Haves

Manuel machine experience is preferrable
Machine shop experience is preferable

Responsibilities

Operates various conventional machine shop equipment such as grinders, Okamoto water grinders to produce and detail a variety of small parts, ranging from simple to complex, which are within prescribed tolerances.
Performs machine set-ups, adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, to machined parts to specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc.
Checks machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances.
May be required to operate numerical control machines.
