These are full-time, direct-hire opportunities. Industry Precision Manufacturing Roles at a glance CNC Operators & Machinists — $20.00–$35.00/hr Grinders — $20.00–$28.00/hr Prototype Apprentice — $20.00–$25.00/hr A day in the life CNC Operators & Machinists Set up and run CNC mills and/or lathes to produce close-tolerance components Interpret engineering drawings and part blueprints to verify features and dimensions Perform in-process inspections with precision measurement tools Hit quality targets while keeping production moving efficiently Grinders Operate grinding equipment to achieve final dimensions and surface finishes on precision parts Conduct basic inspections to confirm accuracy and finish Maintain steady throughput with strong attention to detail Prototype Apprentice Assist with prototype builds and low-volume production work Learn machining fundamentals, setups, and blueprint reading Support engineers and senior machinists on complex components Rotate through multiple processes to develop versatile hands-on skills Shifts First Shift: Day schedule Second Shift: Afternoon/Evening schedule
Requirements
- Manufacturing or machining background preferred (varies by role)
- Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to read blueprints—or commitment to learn quickly
- Strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
