The CNC Machining Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines to produce first articles. This role requires proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and work instructions. Key duties include safely loading and unloading materials, performing side operations like deburring, and conducting daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery. The operator must meet production goals for cycle time, quantity, and quality, maintain Kanban records, and manage chips and shavings. They are expected to perform quality assurance measurements, document defects, and uphold 5S standards. The position involves complying with company policies, ISO standards, and supporting manufacturing engineers. The operator will also maintain tooling, perform inspections using precision measuring tools, and change tooling as needed to ensure product quality. This role is considered a process expert and trainer, working directly with programmers and engineers on insourcing projects.
