About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator will operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machines and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and eventually learning the set up process. Operations employ recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are followed. The operator will follow detailed instructions, work from standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position work piece. They will check work at specified points, adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements. The role involves working from part drawings and using required precision measuring instruments to check and inspect work, as well as recognizing and reporting machine malfunctions and tooling difficulties. The operator may assist with setups or proving of programs. Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection. The role also includes maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and following safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
  • Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow directions
  • 1+ years of CNC Machining

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as; Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, Vollmer, etc.
