About The Position

Empower Manufacturing is hiring a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate CNC lathes, including machines with live tooling, and produce parts that meet customer prints and specifications. The role includes dry-running new programs, making offsets and light program edits, measuring and inspecting parts, and loading and unloading steel using an overhead hoist or jib crane. Parts may measure up to 24 inches in diameter and 125 inches in length. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Optional weekend overtime is available but is not mandatory. Pay is up to $35 per hour, depending on experience. The company describes its workplace culture as positive, supportive, and team-oriented.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling.
Ability to work with parts up to 24 inches in diameter and 125 inches in length.
Ability to make offsets and perform light program editing.
Ability to follow company work orders and instructions.
Ability to measure parts using micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, and verniers.

Responsibilities
