About The Position
The CNC Lathe Operator sets up and operates multi-axis turning machines with live tooling, including Mori Seiki and Hitachi Seiki machines. The position is based in Grand River, Ohio, about 30 minutes east of Cleveland. The work takes place in a well-lit, clean, temperature-controlled machine shop with moderate noise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and operations.
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- 0–2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Recognize appropriate tooling and procedures for following required tolerances.
- Follow detailed instructions and standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position workpieces.
- Check work at specified points and adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements.
- Work from drawings and use required measuring instruments to check and inspect work.
- May assist with setups or proving programs.
