CNC Lathe Operator - Second Shift

About The Position

Empower Manufacturing is hiring a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling, perform dry-runs on new programs, and inspect parts against customer prints and specifications. The role includes safely loading and unloading steel using an overhead hoist or jib crane and working with parts up to 24 inches in diameter and 125 inches long. Operators make offsets and light program edits, follow work orders and instructions, and measure parts using basic inspection equipment. Additional tasks may be assigned by management. The position pays up to $35 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Optional weekend overtime is available but is not mandatory.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling.
Ability to work with parts up to 24 inches in diameter and 125 inches in length.
Ability to make offsets and perform light program editing.
Ability to measure parts using micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, and verniers.

Responsibilities
