About The Position

Klein Tools is seeking a skilled CNC professional to set up, operate, and troubleshoot advanced multi-axis machining and automated equipment. The role runs production jobs on CNC machinery and other semi-automated equipment, inspects product quality, makes machine and program adjustments, troubleshoots issues, performs maintenance, and documents production, scrap, and labor information. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Overtime may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Five years of related experience is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math and computer skills and perform visual quality inspections.
• Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions according to work instructions and documents.
• Ability to communicate and work as a team member.
• Ability to obtain a Klein-provided crane certification may be required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed by the company is required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• CNC certification or metalworking/tooling certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating CNC, milling, grinding, or furnace machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on multi-axis CNC milling, grinding, or lathe machines, furnaces, and other semi-automated equipment.
• Inspect product quality throughout production using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, and gauges.
• Read work orders and blueprints to determine machine setup and product quality specifications.
• Adjust program offsets and machine feed, speed, and axis points as needed to maintain part specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor or major machine issues.
• Perform machine setups.
• Perform general machine maintenance.
• Record production-part counts, scrap, and labor hours through required paperwork or electronic entry.
