About The Position
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our production team in Fruita. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise to program and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc and/or Mazak controls. You will play a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in every part produced.
Requirements
- 2+ years of CNC programming and operation
- Strong background in machining steel and large-scale parts
- High School Diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental math and computer skills
- Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
- Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and a strong "team-player" mentality
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of CNC programming and operation preferred
Responsibilities
- Expertly set up and operate CNC lathes
- Program using Fanuc and/or Mazak controls
- Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure parts meet specifications
- Perform tool changes and machine setups to maximize production efficiency
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move large steel parts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; perform routine troubleshooting on equipment
