This position is in the Lathe Department, and it involves moving from one machine to another as needed when workload shifts. The machines could include 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar feeders. The individual in this role will perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This will involve reading and editing G & M code and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections. The position will also involve running different grades of material and performing multiple setups a day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 5 years of CNC machine setup and programming/advanced editing experience required
  • Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material required
  • Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls
  • Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T

Nice To Haves

  • Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar Feeders is preferred
