About The Position

BHS Corrugated is hiring a CNC Grinding Machine Operator for its 3rd shift manufacturing team in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role is suited to a hands-on CNC machinist, grinding technician, or experienced machine operator with a precision machining background. The schedule offers 30 working hours while paying for 40 hours. The position involves operating CNC-controlled grinding machines, performing precision inspections, maintaining quality standards, and supporting other shop operations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of machining or manufacturing experience, including work with lathes and grinders.
• Experience operating CNC machines or industrial grinding equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on 3rd shift.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• SAP experience.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate FANUC-controlled profile grinders and Siemens-controlled OD grinders.
• Set up machines, adjust tooling, and interpret blueprints.
• Perform precision inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist with manual lathes, polishing equipment, and other shop equipment.
• Document production and follow safety procedures.
