About The Position

The CNC Machinist sets up, operates, and maintains CNC grinding machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. The role requires attention to detail and technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while ensuring quality and efficiency. The position is on first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., including a 20-minute paid lunch.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including a minimum of 2 years of CNC setup experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
• Experience working with small precision parts to close tolerances.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding CNC machines according to job specifications.
• Load raw materials and verify tooling alignment and offsets.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Make program edits and adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface-finish requirements.
• Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Work with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
