About The Position

Skylift is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to work primarily in the milling department of its manufacturing team. The role involves producing precision-machined components that meet engineering specifications while maintaining safety and production standards. The operator will run CNC machines, perform basic setups and tooling changes, monitor production, inspect parts, and complete quality and production documentation.

Requirements

At least 3 years of CNC machining or operator experience.
Experience machining steel products.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong math and measurement skills.
Experience reading and using precision measuring tools.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Haas CNC machines.
Experience using spindle probes and tool-setting probes.
Knowledge of advanced CNC setups and tooling practices.

Responsibilities

Operate one or more CNC machines for milling, drilling, turning, threading, and other machining functions.
Produce parts that meet engineering specifications and print requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
Perform basic machine setups and tooling changes.
Load materials and monitor machine performance throughout production runs.
Complete quality and production documentation accurately.
Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
Understand and use work offsets and tool offsets.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including chip removal and machine housekeeping.
Identify and communicate quality concerns to supervisors.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
