About The Position

Operate CNC Swiss lathe machines to fabricate production parts. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing machine performance, ensuring parts meet specifications, making necessary adjustments to offsets and tools, and reading/interpreting blueprints. The operator will use precision measuring tools, safely load/unload machines, perform daily cleaning and light maintenance, and adhere to all safety procedures and quality policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on operating experience in CNC Swiss lathe machining, Tsugami, Star, or Citizen machines.
• Experience holding tight tolerances.
• Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with precision equipment and products.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be capable of lifting, pulling, pushing, or carrying up to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Tech school training preferred.
• Set up CNC experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Swiss lathe machines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose machine performance.
• Ensure produced parts meet specifications.
• Make appropriate offsets and adjust tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Properly use calipers, verniers, and thread gauges.
• Properly and safely load and unload machines.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Utilize and abide by all safety procedures.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
