Austin Industrial is seeking a CNC Control Tech to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors and requires experience with hand and power tools, along with strong mechanical aptitude. The position is responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of machine tools on-site, including CNC machines, geometrical compensation and correction, mechanical repair, sheet metal, gearboxes, ball screws, gib adjustments, and axis alignments. Electrical repairs, control logic, PLCs, VFDs, ladder logic, and component-level repairs are also key responsibilities. The CNC Control Tech will support other trades, contribute to team efforts, and maintain a fast pace with a focus on safety. The role also includes escorting vendors and subcontractors.
