About The Position
Chicago Tube and Iron Company is a leader in the metals distribution and fabrication industry. We are an established company with an impressive record of profitability and growth. This role is for a CNC Bender Operator responsible for the operation of a laser cutting tube laser.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of bending machines or similar metal forming equipment
- Strong background in a production manufacturing environment that uses standard metalworking inspection measuring tools
- Basic math skills
- Ability to carry and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Strong blueprint reading skills and knowledge regarding the principles of tolerance and dimensioning
Responsibilities
- Set up and run the BLM E150 and E52 electric benders.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of inspection measuring tools such as tape measurers, calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to regularly maneuver up to 50lbs.
- Package parts according to customer packaging requirements.
