About The Position

Grace Manufacturing specializes in precision metal services and medical manufacturing, providing customers with custom metal parts using different processes or a combination of processes. We are seeking qualified candidates for a CNC Operator position at our Manufacturing facility in Russellville, Arkansas. This is a production role in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC machining
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to use ERP or manufacturing systems
  • Ability to read measurements and perform basic math
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • Must be able to stand approximately 90% of the time
  • Must be able to walk across the plant regularly
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office machinery such as copiers, telephones, calculators, etc.
  • Must be able to operate machinery, use hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally in person and on the telephone with employees, vendors and others.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate and concise information in these situations either with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to view a computer screen, see monitors during meetings and see paper reports in order to understand and interpret information.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or formal technical/vocation education is a plus
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operator, or shop-floor experience a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret part prints and specifications supplied by internal and external customers a plus

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate CNC equipment (Okuma and Mori Seiki lathes, Citizen Swiss machines, Okuma and Haas machining centers)
  • Follow setup sheets to tear down and setup CNC equipment (tooling, fixtures, offsets, bar loaders, etc.)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep machines clean and safe
  • Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or safety issues
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records
  • Record production data, scrap, and downtime in the ERP system
  • Accurately report labor and machine time using the ERP system
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
