Per Diem CNA 12-hour dayshift
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking a per diem in-home caregiver to work 12-hour day shifts as needed. The role provides personal care and companionship to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Duties include meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, assistance with daily activities, and support with transportation to appointments or social outings. The caregiver monitors and reports changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs, and communicates with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update care plans. Additional shifts may be available for caregivers interested in picking up extra hours. Compensation for shifts of three hours or longer is a base rate of $19–$22 per hour, depending on experience. Shorter shifts have separate rates: $30 per hour for one-hour shifts and $22.50 per hour for two-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
- Availability to work two weekend days per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
- Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
- Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
