About The Position

Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for its Weekend Warrior Program. The role involves caring for residents by assisting with daily living activities, supporting nutrition, monitoring health, and documenting care. The program requires a commitment to 26 consecutive weekends (six months), with a choice of working at least three 12-hour shifts or two 16-hour shifts each weekend. The weekend window runs from Friday at 6:30 AM through Monday at 7:00 PM. Hours worked within that window receive a $3.00-per-hour premium differential in addition to any regular weekend differentials. Requirements

• Active placement on the Maine C.N.A. Registry as a graduate of a state-approved program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills, and a friendly bedside manner.
• Commitment to 26 consecutive weekends, working either at least three 12-hour shifts or two 16-hour shifts per weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents’ nutrition by serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
• Monitor health by checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Document care accurately and maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality.
