About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide care, comfort, and support to residents as a core member of the clinical team. This position is part of a limited-availability Weekend Warrior Program requiring work on six consecutive weekends, with two 12-hour shifts each weekend. The program offers a $3.00-per-hour premium differential for all hours worked during the weekend window, in addition to any regular weekend differentials, and keeps weekdays free.

Requirements

• Active placement on the Maine C.N.A. Registry as a graduate of a state-approved program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills, and a friendly bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents’ nutrition by serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
• Monitor health by checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Document care accurately and maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality.
