About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its nursing team on the Medical/Oncology floor (4 South). The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including oncology, medical/surgical, dialysis, psychiatric, dementia, isolation/infectious disease, remote telemetry, palliative, and hospice patients. The team-centered environment offers opportunities for professional growth and skill development. This part-time role typically involves two 12-hour night shifts each week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates must be flexible and available for varied schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The CNA supports clinical staff at the unit level through clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel provides nursing care and related non-professional services to address patients’ personal needs and comfort.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Flexibility and availability to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.
