About The Position
Country Meadows is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant who values spending time with older adults, has experience providing hands-on care, and appreciates working as part of a team. CNAs are responsible for fewer residents per day than at most communities, allowing more one-on-one engagement and opportunities to build meaningful connections. The position offers a consistent schedule, with consideration for school schedules when needed. A full-time 7 a.m.–3 p.m. shift is available. Pay ranges from $18.25 to $22 per hour based on experience, with opportunities for evening and overnight shift differentials. Country Meadows is a family-owned private company based in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company has over 2,500 co-workers and has served seniors for more than 30 years.
Requirements
- Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant license in good standing in the state of Maryland.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be dependable, kind, sympathetic, and respectful, with good judgment concerning the rights and dignity of others.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct toward residents, families, and team members.
- Be able to perform the physical tasks required for the role.
- Be comfortable working in a pet-friendly environment.
- Understand and speak English at a level that allows safe and efficient job performance.
Responsibilities
- Engage with residents and get to know them personally while assisting with activities of daily living, hygiene, healthcare, and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents.
- Collaborate with therapy and nursing teams to prepare residents for therapy sessions and monitor care.
- Encourage residents to participate in social programs and on- and off-campus lifestyle activities that support wellness.
- Recognize and document changes in residents’ condition and safety, and report them to a supervisor.
- Organize and manage daily tasks.
