About The Position
The CNA provides basic patient care in Hartsfield Village’s Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing building. The role follows established standards of care and Powers Health policies and procedures, while supporting the organization’s mission and philosophy. The position is scheduled for days, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hartsfield Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) focused on successful aging. Its Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing building has 112 beds and is rated four stars by CMS. The organization emphasizes high medical integrity, teamwork, and a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course and examination.
- Current valid state certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to demonstrate required competencies within allotted time periods.
Nice To Haves
- More than one year of CNA work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Answer call lights and telephones, respond to patient requests, handle routine requests, and relay information to appropriate personnel.
- Serve patient food trays, snacks, and nourishment.
- Assist with patient mobility, including lifting and positioning patients and transferring them between beds, wheelchairs, and carts.
- Assist patients with ambulation as directed.
- Assist in preparing patients for transfer or discharge.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and aseptic environment in assigned work areas.
