About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its Grand Island Internal Medicine Team in Grand Island, Nebraska. The CNA provides clinical support to patients and providers in a primary care setting, helping deliver quality patient care and maintain efficient patient flow. The role includes rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and health histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, completing basic clinical tasks, maintaining exam rooms and supplies, and documenting patient information. The CNA also performs delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to support the patient’s plan of care. This is a full-time position of 1.0 FTE, with 40 scheduled hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position is on the first shift.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska is required.
Demonstrated effective communication skills are required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association-endorsed program is required within 30 days of hire for new hires starting January 1, 2023, or later.
Depending on department needs, Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course may be required after hire in outpatient settings.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
