CNA / Unit Tech - Nursing Resources- Float Pool (.6 FTE, Nights) INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
About The Position
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Unit Tech performs tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, treatment, transportation, and various clerical tasks. This is a 0.6 FTE night position in Nursing Resources/Float Pool, open to internal applicants only. The wage range is $26.75–$41.06 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour Nursing Resources premium. Eligible CNAs who are new EvergreenHealth employees and have at least one year of hospital experience may receive a bonus of up to $1,200. Job offers are determined by relevant experience, education, and internal equity; some positions may offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare 1199NW.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA-C) in Washington State.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by the date of hire.
- Ability to apply knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures to the care of the assigned age group.

Responsibilities
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient activity or symptoms, including vital signs, respiration, discomfort, intake, output, weight, and bleeding.
- Assist with or prepare patients for transport, including moving them between a bed and a gurney or wheelchair.
- Transport patients, belongings and valuables, blood products, supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and specimens between locations.
- Acknowledge patient inquiries and respond to or refer them appropriately.
- Answer patient call lights, determine the nature of the problem, respond within scope, and/or obtain appropriate resources.
- Assist registered nurses and other healthcare providers with wound care and patient procedures as directed.
- Follow attendance, punctuality, and dependability guidelines; perform and follow through on assigned responsibilities within designated or agreed timeframes and in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals, and values.
- Fulfill the position's organizational accountabilities and perform other duties as assigned.
