About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a CNA/Unit Clerk for our Main Operating Room. Our Main Operating Room serves patients with a wide variety of care needs, from scheduled elective cases to emergent traumas. With 17 operating rooms, we provide care across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, general, plastics, dental, neurology, urology, gynecology, and robotics. This role serves as a key support resource for the Operating Room. The CNA/Unit Clerk works closely with the Charge RN, surgeons, providers, and clinical staff to help keep daily operations running smoothly. This is a fast-paced position that combines administrative, communication, and patient care support responsibilities. Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday from 0630-1700.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Requires basic Medical Terminology and Anatomy.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.
Advanced classes in Medical Terminology and Anatomy preferred.

Responsibilities

Support clinical staff by performing clerical, receptionist, patient care, and patient service coordination duties.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient information, messages, and medical documentation.
Maintain Electronic Medical Records and facilitate smooth operation of the unit.
