About The Position
Ahwatukee Post Acute is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a shower aide role. The position is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM. The CNA supports residents’ comfort, safety, personal care, and daily activities, with particular responsibility for scheduled bathing and hygiene care according to individual care plans and facility schedules. The role also includes observing and reporting skin concerns, maintaining clean and sanitized bathing areas, documenting care, and communicating missed or refused showers to the appropriate nurse or supervisor.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification in the state of Arizona.
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- CPR/BLS Certification.
- Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor residents’ conditions and communicate with the care team to support quality care.
- Provide scheduled showers, baths, and personal hygiene care in accordance with individual care plans and facility schedules.
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral care, skin care, and other activities of daily living associated with bathing.
- Observe residents’ skin condition during care and promptly report redness, bruising, wounds, skin breakdown, or other concerns to the licensed nurse.
- Keep shower and bathing areas clean, safe, stocked, and properly sanitized between residents.
- Maintain residents’ dignity, privacy, comfort, and safety during personal care.
- Accurately document completed showers and care provided according to facility procedures.
- Communicate missed or refused showers to the appropriate nurse or supervisor and follow facility procedures for rescheduling.
- Assist with other CNA duties and resident care needs as assigned.
