About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs, focusing on the seven dimensions of wellness through the EnerG by Aegis program. The position offers comprehensive restorative training, with no prior restorative experience required, though a CNA certification is necessary. Responsibilities include assisting in restorative care such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, range of motion exercises, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, with limited involvement in typical CNA tasks.
Requirements
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
- CNA Certification Required
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
- Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
