About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to provide expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for patients in a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care setting. The position offers full restorative training onsite, with no prior restorative experience required, though a CNA certification is necessary. Responsibilities include assisting in restorative care, focusing on ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, while minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. The role utilizes the EnerG by Aegis program, which focuses on the seven dimensions of wellness for a holistic approach to health.

Requirements

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
