About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a full-time Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care for their team in Kapolie, HI. This role involves working closely with the Rehab Therapy Team and reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy. The primary focus is to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs, with full restorative training provided onsite. The position emphasizes exclusive restorative responsibilities, such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, with limited traditional CNA tasks. Requirements

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy
• Work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed
• Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care)
