About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working with the Rehab Therapy Team to provide expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for patients in a Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Senior Care Wellness setting. The position offers full restorative training and focuses on exclusive restorative responsibilities, minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. The EnerG by Aegis program emphasizes a holistic approach to wellness across seven dimensions, aiming to enhance health and happiness through individualized, results-driven programs.
Requirements
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Nice To Haves
- No restorative experience necessary
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
- Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
