CNA Restorative - PRN
About The Position
Aegis Therapies is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to work with the rehabilitation therapy team at a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care wellness setting in Penitas, Texas. The role focuses exclusively on restorative care and wellness activities, including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active and passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint or prosthesis care. The CNA assists with restorative care as directed and works under the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy. Onsite restorative training is provided; prior restorative experience is not necessary, but current CNA certification is required. The role supports EnerG by Aegis, a holistic wellness approach focused on seven dimensions of wellness and individualized programs intended to enhance health and happiness. The position offers flexible, as-needed work with weekend coverage and opportunities to collaborate with the therapy team and make a difference in patients’ lives.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior restorative experience is not necessary; full restorative training is provided onsite.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.
Responsibilities
- Work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
- Perform restorative activities, including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient care.
