About The Position

Aegis Therapies is hiring a CNA/Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to work with the Rehab Therapy Team at Wrightsville Manor Health & Rehab in Wrightsville, Georgia. The role provides wellness, fitness, and exercise programs in a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, and senior care wellness setting. The position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and works exclusively with the therapy team. Onsite restorative training is provided; prior restorative experience is not necessary, but current CNA certification is required.

The position focuses on restorative responsibilities, including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active and passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint or prosthesis care. The role assists with restorative patient care as directed and involves limited or no less desirable tasks commonly associated with CNA work. Aegis’s EnerG programs use a holistic, individualized approach to wellness focused on seven dimensions of wellness.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or in a similar area.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the therapy team to provide appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in restorative patient care as directed.
• Perform restorative activities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active and passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint or prosthesis care.
