About The Position

Aegis Therapies is hiring a CNA/Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to work with the rehabilitation therapy team in a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care wellness setting. The role provides wellness, fitness, and exercise programs and assists with restorative patient care as directed. The position has exclusive restorative responsibilities, including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active and passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint or prosthesis care. Restorative training is provided onsite; prior restorative experience is not required, but CNA certification is required.

The position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and works exclusively with the therapy team. Aegis’s EnerG wellness programs use a holistic approach focused on seven dimensions of wellness and provide individualized, results-driven activities intended to enhance health and happiness. The role is full-time, up to 40 hours per week, with rotating weekends, in Thomson, Georgia.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the therapy team to provide expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Provide restorative services including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing and grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
