About The Position

Always Best Care of Fairfax is hiring experienced CNA/PCA caregivers to provide one-on-one support to a total care client living in an assisted living community in Great Falls, Virginia. The client is bed- and wheelchair-bound and has mild dementia, requiring comprehensive daytime assistance. The caregiver will help with transfers, personal care, meals, mobility, and companionship, while respecting the client’s dignity, preferences, and individuality. The role calls for a proactive, observant caregiver who supports comfort and safety and helps create a positive daily experience.

The position offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with shifts available Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour. Openings are immediate.

Requirements

• Experience providing total care assistance is required.
• Knowledge of safe transfer techniques and mobility assistance.
• Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to remain engaged and attentive throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Active CNA license in the state of Virginia is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting clients with dementia or memory-related challenges is preferred.
• Experience supporting bed-bound and wheelchair-bound clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with transfers and repositioning throughout the day.
• Support wheelchair and bed mobility needs.
• Assist with feeding, meal setup, and hydration.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement.
• Offer gentle prompting and support with daily routines.
• Assist with toileting, continence care, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor the client’s comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
• Maintain a clean and organized care environment.
• Communicate with family members, facility staff, and care management personnel to support continuity of care.
