About The Position

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/CNA to provide attentive, one-on-one in-home care to clients in Orinda, California. The role involves 12-hour shifts and offers an opportunity to support clients’ well-being and independence in the comfort of their homes. The employer describes a supportive environment with flexible scheduling, supportive management, ongoing training, and caregivers who are thoughtfully matched with compatible clients. Caregivers can access support while working in the field. Compensation is $20.00–$23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Active CNA certification or verifiable experience as a professional caregiver.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, or weekends as needed.
Experience with personal care, activities of daily living (ADLs), and transfers in a home or facility setting.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with a client-centered approach.
Must pass a background check and provide verifiable references.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
Monitor and document clients’ health status and report changes to the care team.
Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to promote safety.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to dietary needs and preferences.
Provide medication reminders and support medication management routines.
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being.
