About The Position

The PCA/CNA provides direct care to residents in the Trezevant Terrace Assisted Living. The primary duties consist of activities of daily living, assistance with therapeutic activities programs and documentation as required by the community. There is a potential addition of $1.00 more for memory care unit.

Requirements

Must be in good physical condition.
Must be able to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
Must have active, TN CNA license or proven job history as a Personal Care Giver.

Responsibilities

Provides direct care to residents.
Assists with activities of daily living.
Assists with therapeutic activities programs.
Documents care as required.
Determines staff needs.
Attends 12 in-service hours annually.
Maintains CNA Certification status.
Maintains and charts daily care records accurately.
Responsible for weights, vital signs, Intake and Outputs, as assigned.
Assists residents to activities.
Answers call bells promptly and courteously.
Ensures call bell is within reach for each resident.
Shaves male residents daily.
Passes fresh ice/tap water each shift.
Passes and sets up food trays and feeds/assists residents who cannot feed themselves.
Maintains care and neatness of resident units: bed making, personal clothing, and bedside table.
Gives basic patient care: bathing, mouth care, shampooing and grooming of hair, clean and file nails requested and assists as needed with personal hygiene.
