About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is seeking a CNA/Nursing Assistant for its 36-bed Ortho Med/Surg unit, which cares for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs, including a wide range of conditions and illnesses, wound care, and minor trauma cases. The position supports clinical staff at the unit level through clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination, and provides nursing care and related non-professional services for patients’ personal needs and comfort. Care is provided under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. The schedule is two 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays is required.

Requirements

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination.
Provide nursing care and related non-professional services for patients’ personal needs and comfort as a CNA or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to care competently for assigned age groups: neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, as applicable.
