About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant for its 36-bed Ortho Med/Surg unit, which cares for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs, including a wide range of conditions and illnesses, wound care, and minor trauma cases. The Nursing Assistant supports clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination duties. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the role also provides nursing care and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort. The schedule consists of two 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. The employee must be flexible to work varied weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Perform clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination to support clinical staff at the unit level.
Provide nursing care and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
Provide competent care for assigned age groups, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients as applicable.
