About The Position

Visiting Angels of Edmond is hiring CNA Nurse Aides to provide in-home care to clients in Stillwater, Edmond, Guthrie, Seward, Perkins, and surrounding areas. The role supports clients’ quality of life and wellness in accordance with their individualized care plans. Caregivers may assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, errands, and responding to emergencies. Advanced training opportunities are available in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Training in first aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including background checks.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Nice To Haves

Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle, as required.
