About The Position

Visiting Angels of Boise is hiring CNA Nurse Aides to provide in-home care to clients in the local area, including Caldwell, Nampa, and Meridian. The role supports clients’ wellness and quality of life in accordance with their custom care plans. Caregivers may assist with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, errands, and responding to emergencies. Advanced training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are available for caregivers who want to broaden their skills. Flexible shift options are available, including full-time, part-time, PRN, short shifts, and 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and emergency response training; training is provided if needed.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
• Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
• Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

• Interest in advanced training in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist with client mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
• Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
