About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Montgomery office is seeking compassionate CNA Nurse Aides to support seniors and others in need across Central Alabama, including Auburn, Waverly, Opelika, and Notasulga. The role provides meaningful companionship and assistance with everyday needs, helping clients and their families while supporting caregivers’ personal growth. Advanced training opportunities are available in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, mobility, medication, meals, routine exercises, transportation, shopping, and light housekeeping. They also provide companionship, report unusual incidents, and respond responsibly to emergencies.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver mindset.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate approach.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including attending doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
