About The Position
Benedictine offers sponsored CNA-NAR training classes at no cost to associates. Trainees are paid while learning and earn a certification, with training intended to prepare them for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available after successful completion of the CNA course and state CNA exams. The role is with Benedictine, a nonprofit senior care organization founded by the sisters of St. Scholastica and guided by Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect, and Justice.
Requirements
- Must currently be enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program or be hired into a Benedictine NA training program.
- Must be eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Attend all scheduled classes and successfully pass the state-required certification test.
- Collect initial and ongoing data on residents and report their condition and any changes to an RN or LPN.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.
