About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in their own homes. Cases are available in Farnham, Colonial Beach, Lancaster, Kilmarnock, Heathsville, Warsaw, Montross, St. Stephen’s Church, and King & Queen. Available schedules include full-time, part-time, or PRN, with weekday, weekend, evening, and overnight shifts. Listed shift times include 8 a.m.–12 p.m., 8 a.m.–2 p.m., 9 a.m.–3 p.m., 12 a.m.–7 a.m., and weekday shifts from 3:30 a.m.–7 a.m. The role involves helping clients with personal care and daily activities, supporting their mobility, offering companionship, and monitoring and reporting changes in their health or behavior. The employer offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, training, PPE, referral bonus programs, and benefits eligibility for full-time PCAs.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in becoming a PCA.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior.
