About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Homemaker to join our team at The Rushwood Senior Living in Wichita, Kansas. This full-time position involves creating an inviting and tidy environment for residents in memory care, assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring residents receive snacks and hydration, and engaging residents in meaningful activities. The role requires a compassionate individual with a positive attitude who is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing within the state of employment.
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create an inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas.
  • Prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding residents in setting tables and cleaning up together.
  • Ensure all residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day.
  • Engage residents and provide meaningful experiences as extra hands in the Neighborhood.
