About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Homemaker for their Cedar Trails community in Freeburg, IL. The role is full-time with a shift schedule of Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering a starting wage of $16.00-$18.00 per hour. The position is crucial in creating an inviting, comfortable, and homelike atmosphere for residents in memory care, encompassing both their living spaces and common areas. The Homemaker will also play a key role in mealtime experiences, guiding residents in family-style dining, setting tables, and cleaning up together. Ensuring residents receive snacks and hydration three times a day is also a core responsibility, along with engaging residents and providing meaningful experiences in the Neighborhood.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Shall have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Shall be professional in appearance and conduct
  • Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with our Residents
  • Will have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall
  • Must be criminally cleared

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for creating an atmosphere in memory care that is inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy in all apartments and common area spaces
  • Be present in the dining room to prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding the residents to be a part of their own experience by setting the tables and cleaning up together after as a family
  • Be responsible to ensure all residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day
  • Be extra hands in the Neighborhood to engage residents and provide meaningful experiences
