About The Position

Our starting wage for Memory Care Homemakers is: $16.00-$18.00 per hour! Come join our team at The Rushwood Senior Living located at 2121 N 143rd Street E. Wichita, Kansas 67230! We are looking for someone (like you): Be a Keeper of the Home. Be responsible for creating an atmosphere in memory care that is inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy in all apartments and common area spaces. Be a Mealtime Maven. Be present in the dining room to prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding the residents to be a part of their own experience by setting the tables and cleaning up together after as a family. Be a Snack Specialist. Be responsible to ensure all residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day. Be a Caring Connector. Be extra hands in the Neighborhood to engage residents and provide meaningful experiences.

Requirements

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing within state of employment.
At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Active; requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create an inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas.
Prepare and serve family-style dining in the dining room.
Guide residents in setting tables and cleaning up after meals.
Ensure residents are offered snacks and hydration three times a day.
Engage residents and provide meaningful experiences in the Neighborhood.
