About The Position

Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Surgical Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care. The Med-Surg CNA assists patients with daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs; monitors and reports changes in patient condition; supports nurses with tasks such as wound care; maintains supplies; and helps ensure a clean, safe environment. Entry-level candidates who have recently earned their CNA license and have no prior experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained as current.
Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Help patients with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring, to help prevent skin breakdown.
Feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake and output.
Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions to nurses.
Assist with wound care under the direction of an RN.
Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms.
Help keep the environment clean and safe.
Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.
