About The Position

Crescent Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with the nursing team, the Hospice Aide ensures patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The coverage area is Aiken.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in the state where working.
• At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
• Current CPR certification if mandated by the state.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care to support patients’ comfort and well-being, and respond promptly to patient and family or caregiver requests.
• Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and work to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Share knowledge and expertise with patients’ families, guiding and supporting them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
